Do you know how much time it takes to make a paper airplane and fly it?

We could tell you how long it takes us, but wouldn’t it be more fun to see for yourself!

Get your team signed up for this year’s competition and get flying!

DURATION FLYER

In just seven steps you can create the “Duration Flyer” with your team. This airplane specializes in the lengths and routes of the flight. Fun Fact: Did you know the longest time a paper airplane has flown is for 29.2 seconds?! This accomplishment was achieved by Takuo Toda, a Japanese native on December 19, 2010. This paper airplane will have your team soaring to success.

LONG-DISTANCE FLYER

This airplane is all about achieving the longest time span! Speaking of long distance, have you ever wondered who invented long distance airplanes? Two brothers by the names of Wilbur and Orville Wright were the American pioneers of aviation. In fact, in 1903 the brothers conducted their first powered and controlled flight! Have fun continuing the legacy of the Wright Brothers with your team!

PRECISION FLYER

Precision Flyer- The purpose of this airplane is to fly in a clean and specific manner. When there are any changes made in this flyer such as the altitude, the same changes will occur in the power to create that precise glide through the air. Precision is one of the most important components to aircraft because it promotes accuracy!

Here are a few of the most accurate types of paper airplanes that you can build with your team:

  • The White Dove
  • The Dart
  • The Sea Glider
  • The F – 15 Eagle
  • The Stunt Plane
